Developed out of the desire for artists and audiences alike to dive into new collaborations to invent new ways of experiencing theater. When a biracial filmmaker attempts to make a documentary about Rachel Dolezal, he returns to a problematic but unforgettable "Mondo" film—inspired by a shockumentary he remembers watching on a mysterious VHS tape as a child. His pursuit of his problematic subject reveals the tensions between memory and fantasy, identity and media, fascination and revulsion.

Originally conceived as a dance-theater experience, Vie Boheme adapts a portion of her dynamic one-woman show CENTERPLAY into an immersive and multi-layered sonic journey. Using spoken word, poetry, and song, Vie Boheme submerges the audience in the auditory realm to share the stories of Black women - inviting listeners to see the complexity and nuance of experiences that are often over-simplified and minimalized.

It's May 2020 in Minneapolis and though the nighttime will bring curfews and unrest, and pandemic anxiety looms large, two old friends reconnect while walking through the daylit streets of the city that is suddenly the epicenter of the country's racial reckoning. As their casual exchange unfolds, they surprise themselves with the complicated honesty and hopefulness that emerges. Against a backdrop of soulful music, I'LL BE SEEING YOU AGAIN captures the surprisingly charged moments when a colliding past and present crack open to reveal shimmering but powerful truths.
