Show Description: 

Off-Leash Area presents their 3rd annual Off-Kilter Cabaret, an annual community program designed to highlight and support artists with disabilities in the creation of original performance work. The 2025 Off-Kilter Cabaret explores the theme “Human Alchemy”. An artistically eclectic line-up, this year’s featured performing artists are AJ Issacson-Zvidzwa, Atlas Oggún Phoenix, Laura Cannata, Laurine Chang, Scott Sorensen, Young Dance, and zAmya Theater Project. Chosen through a public and juried call, this group of diverse artists will together present an evening of risk taking, surprising, and adventurous contemporary performing arts, including puppetry, dance, theater, and performance art.

Company Description:

Off-Leash Area is one of the Twin Cities longest running, and most awarded performance companies, having created 32 original dance & theater productions and unique grass-roots community programs, culminating in this the company’s 25th anniversary. Led by co-directors Jennifer Ilse, dance artist, and Paul Herwig, theater artist, the company’s performances, sets, and productions have been listed in the local press’ Best of the Year lists 20 times, including earning 2 Ivey Awards, a Sage Award, and support from the NEA, McKnight, Jerome, and many other local funders.
