Position Title: Artist and Audience Services Manager
Reports to: Managing Director
Time Commitment: Full-Time, estimated average of 40 hours/week
Compensation: $45,000/year salary, exempt position

Position Purpose: The Jungle Theater seeks an Artist and Audience Services Manager that plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Theater, as well as leading our efforts to create a welcoming experience for artists and patrons. This position is responsible for all aspects of Jungle Theater’s box office, including supervising a staff of customer service representatives and concessionaires, and providing artist support services to local and out-of-town artists that supports the creative process. The Artist and Audience Services Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and works in close communication and collaboration with all other Jungle staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Artist Services
Actively work to create a welcoming, inclusive, and organized atmosphere for artists.
Monitor and supply building amenities including: First Aid supplies, greenroom toiletries, water coolers, kitchenette materials, and other artist hospitality supplies.
When necessary, work with Managing Director and Production Manager to arrange housing and travel for guest artists.
Work with Jungle staff to ensure adherence to all union requirements.
Work with stage management to maintain an active database of contact info and emergency forms for artists.
Audience Services
Responsible for front of house operations, including providing sales updates and reports.
Ensure all theater spaces are safe, clean, and ready for Jungle patrons, including COVID safety precautions.
Manage ticketing system set-up, season ticket packages, and season pricing and scheduling in conjunction with Jungle staff.
Hire, train, and manage front of house staff, including approval of timesheets and payroll.
Overseeing concessions, including determining offerings and prices, restocking supplies, and coordinating artist merchandise sales as needed.
Serve as the box office liaison for Jungle Theater staff, artists, and VIP ticket requests.
Schedule and coordinate access services (ASL and AD)
Coordinate Group Sales
Provide data and lists for mailings, email communication, grants, and reports as needed.
Oversee arrangements for in-house social functions, including sponsor and donor events.
Financial management
Responsible for overseeing timely and accurate financial transactions that occur within the box office, as well as upkeep of financial records and reports as needed.
Responsible for submitting payroll information to finance, including all time sheets for box office and concessions staff.
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of experience in a box office; customer service experience and familiarity with the performing arts non-profits required.
Management experience strongly preferred.
Ticketing/donor database experience (Audience View Professional preferred).
Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, resulting in clear, kind and effective communication
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Experience, ability and commitment to working with diverse groups in terms of gender expression, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class and immigrant status.
Ability to exercise professional discretion and confidentiality.
Must be able to lift 30lbs
Reliable transportation is required.
