HOW DO I BUY MY TICKETS?

Tickets can be bought online at www.jungletheater.org and through phone (612-822-7063, click here to view box office hours, starting May 17th at 4pm). Tickets for both locations follow the Jungle’s PAY AS YOU ARE ticket model (more information on PAY AS YOU ARE here).

To ensure that everyone selects the location they prefer, we have made separate options for the Hamline performances and the Jungle performances when purchasing online. While the locations are different, the production is the same at Hamline and the Jungle. When purchasing your tickets be sure to double check the location and date of the ticket you select. We will not be able to accommodate those who miss their performances due to going to the wrong location.

Please note: Performances at Hamline University will be General Admission. Performance at Jungle Theater will be assigned seats with special immersive stage seating.

WHY ARE SOME OF THE PERFORMANCES OFF-SITE?

THE COURTROOM was written to be performed in a courtroom setting to create an immersive experience that highlights the play’s distinctive style of storytelling and allows for a theatrical examination of the U.S. immigration system. Director James Rodríguez wanted to bring “at least part of our production into the community” as part of this experimental theater experience.

The Jungle Theater will be transformed to mirror the Hamline courtroom’s physical space with a unique stage and audience setup.

WHAT WILL THIS UNIQUE ARRANGEMENT LOOK AT THE JUNGLE THEATER AND HOW WILL DIFFER FROM A TYPICAL JUNGLE SHOW?

Like 2016’s THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA and 2021’s EVERY BRILLIANT THING, the Jungle Theater will transform our space in a new way to elevate our patron’s experience. Jungle performances will offer special stage seating to immerse the audience within the play as part of the gallery. These seats will offer the best sightlines and offer a unique experience in the theater.

IS THERE ANY AUDIENCE INTERACTION WITH THE SPECIAL STAGE SEATING?

No. There is no audience interaction or participation within the piece.

WHAT PARKING AND CONCESSIONS OFFERINGS WILL THERE BE AT HAMLINE UNIVERSITY?

There will be ample parking options at Hamline University for our audiences. We will not be able to offer concessions for the off-site performances, however patrons are welcome to bring their own water bottles.
